1945/03/29 - Died on march between Paginatan - Ranau, somewhere along the track

Of over 2500 PoWs, only six Australians survived Sandakan, as they escaped. The remaining died in the hands of the Japanese.

The Japanese recorded death from Acute Enteritis but we know the Japanese fabricated these death certificates at Sandakan.
