Captured Java. Rakuyo Maru left Singapore for Japan on 1944/09/06 with 1318, these included Brit.600, Aus.718. Torpedoed on 04/09/44 by US submarine Sealion off East Hainan island at around 5:00am, Lat 18.0 N Lon 114.0E. Party included Brig. Varley (Aus).
