Not captured. Born 5th May 1883 at Colchester, Essex, son of General A G Wavell, CBE. Educated at Winchester College. Commander-in-Chief, British Forces in Far East Dec. 1941. Resigned his post in February 1942, Viceroy of India June 1943. Died 1950.
