                                                | Military Medal |  |  Royal Indian Army Service Corps Hong Kong Mule Corps   Service Sepoy Manga Khan buried his rifle together with a box of ammunition at North Point, Hong Kong.   Japanese PoW Captured 1941/12/25 Hong Kong He refused to join the Japanese and was ill treated by them as a PoW. He escaped and joined the Nationalist Armies in China. Denounced by a Chinaman he was recaptured. In January 1944 he again made a successful escape with three comrades. The four joined the Chinese Communist Army, believing it was the Nationalist Army. They stayed with them for some months with occasional operations against the Japanese. Then after a clash with the Nationalist Army the four Sepoys were captured. They remained prisoners till January 1946.

Hong Kong, and dug up his rifle and ammunition. Throughout his capture by the Japanese to January 1946 he remained loyal to the King. Although recommended for the Indian Distinguished Service Medal, the King approved the Military Medal to be awarded.
