 Born 1906/01/12, Singapore

 He was the son of Merchant Cheong Choon Beng

He was adopted by his uncle Poh Cheng Tee and took the Poh surname.

1924-1929 - Studied Medicine at Edinburgh University

Then post graduate work at Liverpool University and Dublin.

Married Jemima Frances Williamson

1930 - He then returned to practice in Singapore, with Scottish wife Mima.

 Was a GP at Queen's Dispensary, Geylang Rd, Singapore.

1933 - Blessed with daughter Frances

1949 - President of the ‘Y’ Mens Club (supporting the YMCA)

1950 - Member Leprosy Board
