1945/09/12 - Liberated when Dutch and British paratroopers dropped into camp and organised parties to be flown out.

The planned route was by aircraft from Saigon, refuelling at Bangkok and then onto Rangoon for hospitalisation

The first flight carried the sick. After refuelling from Bangkok it crashed killing everyone on board. A sad ending after three and a half years of surviving the camps.
