1944 - Allan moved to Thailand and eventually onto Katchu Mountain Camp, Phetchaburi, which is about one hundred miles south of Bangkok. The POWs travelled through Petchaburi town to reach their camp at Kachu Mountain.

Their task was to construct two airfields.
